Jen Johnson
I have been a painter my whole life and I don’t remember a time when I was not creating! I paint in acrylic and love to build texture and interest by layering paint, allowing little bits of color to pop through to the next. I enjoy painting abstracts, expressive portraits, and florals. Inspired by light and drips, I have recently been working on a body of relaxed grids that portray a quiet connection between color and design. All my paintings are signed JAM, capturing my maiden name from when I began painting. I am a believer in Jesus Christ, and thankful to him for the gift of creativity. I was born in the midwest, studied at Monmouth College and currently reside in Tampa, Florida.
